WORKING ON A NEW GAME

I have been rapidly hacking away at a new game. There were some ideas I came up with for Another Dimension that simply overcomplicated the game and steered away form what the product was intended to be, a boss battler lite. With that said, this new game is going to be a much larger beast!
I present to you, MUTANT MUTILATION! This is just the current code name at the moment. It is similar to Another DImension but will be more of a battle arena style. Instead of just fighting a single boss, this map is about 3x the size and with many more enemies to fight at once. Bosses will have random traits for that battle. This idea I was inspired by a game called Rogue Legacy.
Enemies will be randomly drawn and will accompany the boss to whup your ass. What makes this all interesting will be the the different weaknesses, strengths and traits enemies will have. These things will be displayed as keywords, such as Armor 1. Armor 1 will remove one attack dice. But if your player has a weapon with Pierce 1, you can negate that. BUT another enemy may have immunity to pierce! It's going to make for a really fun way to solve the boss puzzle. And even if you think you solved it, the different variations a boss an minions can have will toss in that monkey wrench.
Attack cards have gotten a bit of a overhaul from my previous game. These new cards will allow more text on the cards and some new options available. The first line chooses a target. If there is no target within 3 spaces than it jumps in the air instead! At the bottom you can see there is some attack patterns. Instead of just attacking a single space, or single player, now wide spaces can be target attacking everything within in it. this will open up a lot of possibilities for new types of attacks!
If you noticed on the enemy cards, they give you different resources when they are killed. These resources will be used to craft new weapons, learn new skills and most importantly, make materia. Materia is the name I'm using right now since it is heavily influenced from the battle system from Final Fantasy 7. Certain weapons will give players access to colored orbs called materia. You then will use your resources to craft materia and fit into a grid on your character board.
The gear you craft will not only give you access to materia slots, but also bonuses to HP, MP, Armor and more! This will give the players a really wide variety of character builds they can develop themselves.
So far I've created 100 different Materia and there are so many more ideas I can throw in to give access to more variety of builds! This game is far away from being done, heck I havent even play tested these ideas, I just made this all this week!
