Now that I've shown off all the mutant and gear, I can give you an idea of how a campaign plays out. The campaign is pretty short, consisting of battles with a level 1, 2 and 3 mutant, then lastly a final battle. Each battle runs you about 2 hours so the entire thing can be completed pretty quickly. The fun part is battling mutants in different orders as the levels introduce new attacks, event, and more to keep things fresh.
In between battles the players head to their friend Ernie's lab. As you can see Ernie has dabbled with the Ichor a little to long, causing some pretty serious mutations, From here players gain and use Mutant Parts for new gear. With 4 mutant parts to use the players can gain up to 4 random gear or spend more to select particular gear or gain one from the Dimensional gear deck. The next thing Ernie can do for you is something little more "gamey". If you are wanting to have a shorter campaign or just skip to the end, you can gain the rewards immediately as if you had just killed a mutant. this can be done multiple times to basically skip to the front of the line where you want to be. The last thing I will say is anywhere there is dashed lines usually means that is where something is placed on top of that area. The things you can do at Ernie's have these characteristics, but those are secrets you will have to discover!
Lastly, with any campaign style game, some lore peppered in is what makes the world interesting. As you play various cards will have flavor text giving you insight into the world of Suros and what is going on with these mutants. For example, the back of the player boards have a little snippet of how they discovered these mutants and the Ichor that is affecting them.
I can't spoil the final boss but there is a lot of lore that is tied into it. That boss plays very differently than the other and introduces new mechanics and ways to play
