"We came upon the ship, it swallowes us whole and found us in front of the unexplainable. A being beyond our dimension. It's intentions are unknown but just like all the others, We must slay it and learn!"
- DEF
"Is this the source of Ichor? Deep down it calls to me, I feel as though there is something more, somewhere. I must have it!"
- BARLEY
"I've come so far and gained much knowledge. At what cost? What am I anymore? Will this being give me more answers?"
- ARGLE
The players in their lust for knowledge have consumed great amounts of Ichor. Slowly over time they have mutated their bodies into something unrecognizable from what they once were! The players with their new abilities can see into the other dimension! Peering through they see a great ship, it has a metal belly like a human with two small legs attached to the bottom, dangling about as they twisted in directions as if steering the ship in whichever direction it needed. There was no head on the body though, instead, a giant gaping slit could be seen near the top that almost wrapped around the entire vessel. The mouth clapped open and closed from time to time, spitting out black Ichor and pulling in some of the debris around it. Although they never had seen such a monstrosity they somehow knew its name, The Efildolg. Their new bodies float willingly to the slit to be sucked in. Pulled through a maze of tubes, the players gracefully move about and are spit into a monstrous room that over looked the galaxy. Across the room stood a being with its arm outstretched, as if calling to them. As they walk across the floor, it slowly dissipates to reveal nothing but Ichor. The players feels their minds fading away, like a memory of someone they once knew. In their final moments of cognitive awareness, they are approached by a great beast, Balamb Wolf. The great beast begins to lick the Ichor from your minds, growing larger with every taste. With great resistance, the players pull themselves together one final time to face this great enemy and harvest the full potential of the Ichor for themselves!
Balamb Wolf is a very agile enemy. When a player attacks Balamb Wolf ,it performs a dodge action, moving to a new zone and rotating 90 degrees.
The players must flex their mental capabilities to survive. Each player gains a new Mind Token that they must use to perform various abilities. On a players turn, they MUST either put down or pickup their mind token on an open space. Available spaces are shown on the top of the map.
Mind Dive cards represent the inner working of Balamb Wolf's thoughts. When a player is able to draw a mind dive card, you peer into a memory and discover many things. One thing that may happen is to convince the wolf to teleport you or all players to zone x, where you can attack The Yellow King.
There are no weak spots on Balamb Wolf's attack cards. Instead, they are presented on event cards. This subtle change ensures that all players have a chance to attack in a weak spot. When a player attacks in a weak spot, they must also draw a MIND DIVE card. Other events include looking into what the wolf knows and learning additional lore or new spaces to place your Mind Token.
If Balamb Wolf is killed, the battle ends. Open BAG Z.
If The Yellow King is killed, the battle ends. Open BAG X.
