PLAYING AS JONAH
Jonah is an alternate character to use in Suros The Board Game. She can replace any color player board or can be added as an addition to all 3 players if you fight all level 3 mutants during battles. She does not use a player board or roll attack dice. Jonah uses a deck of cards for all her actions and abilities.
At the beginning of battle, take all of Jonah's cards and shuffle them to create her deck.
Jonah can perform as many actions as long as you have cards in your hand to make them. The max hand size you can hold is 6.
On Jonah's turn, draw 3 cards. When Jonah loses HP or AP for any reason, discard cards from her deck or hand to the discard pile.
When there are no more cards to draw from the deck, shuffle the discard pile, draw 2 cards and remove them from the battle. If Jonah cannot draw 2 cards from the deck, she is dead. Jonah cannot REVIVE.
If Jonah needs to spend AP, discard an amount of cards equal to the printed AP cost.
Jonah gains and can spend Ichor just like any other player can.
After killing a mutant, Jonah can choose one of the three cards that come with that mutant. These cards match the color of the mutant and have the first initial of that mutant at the top next to the card name. When a mutant is killed, choose one of the 3 cards and put the others away.
CARD ANATOMY
1. Name of the card
2. Special Actions - These can be special actions or bonuses when you play, discardor combo off of a card.
3. Play Card Ability - When a card uses its play ability, place it at the bottom of Jonah's character card. These cards stay in play till the end of the round.
4. COMBOS - Cards can be played one afterthe other. If the left edge of the card played matches right edge color of the previous card, that card is considered a combo card. When a card becomes a combo card, you may increase the value of the card ability number by +1. In addition to this, a card may have other abilities that will trigger if that card is a combo card. If you use discard a card by using a secondary ability located at the bottom of a card, your combo is broken and can no longer be an active combo card.
5. Alternate Discard Options - Cards have an alternate use at the bottom. Jonah can discard that card to perform one of the following actions. These actions cannot be part of a combo and also break your current active combo if there is one in play.
