SECRET C

From the haze of the marsh, a warrior frog emerges, armor slick with algae and scars that shimmer beneath the dying light. It lands before you with a heavy thud, droplets of black water rippling outward. Its gaze drifts to the lifeless body of Calyptoad, and a faint, knowing smirk spreads across its amphibian face. Without a word, the creature reaches into the worn pack slung across its back. Metal scrapes against metal as it withdraws a weapon, ancient, yet humming with  dormant power. The frog offers it to you with a curt nod, an unspoken acknowledgment of your triumph. As your hand closes around the weapon, the air thickens. The marsh quiets. For a fleeting moment, you feel the echo of something vast and unseen, a pact sealed not with words, but with blood
and respect.
