I began designing a board game in 2006 and completed it in December 2024. This project has truly been a labor of love that I have never given up on. I started off with zero experience in designing board games and also no experience with board games in general. After some trial and error I see that in needed some experience with game mechanics if I were to create something special. I played every board game I could get my hands on to gain some knowledge and ideas to implement into my own game. The reason development took so long is because at times I would not work on it for many months as I was simply playing other games. I hope you enjoy playing Suros and can see the many inspirations I pulled from other board games, thank you!
The three main characters are hand drawings done with pen and markers. These characters are self portraits I drew of me and two of my brothers who have written music together , worked together and hung out on the weekends our entire lives. Our adventures continue in the form of this game!
Thank you to my play testers who helped me along the way with the game. At many point this game was totally broken and with their feedback I was able to slowly chip away at the mechanics and craft something really special.
